The Sleep Inn Smyrna Tennessee Hotel is just 19 miles from Ryman Auditorium, the winter home of the Grand Ole Opry. This Gold-Award Winning Smyrna Tennessee hotel offers free high speed internet, free breakfast, an indoor pool, and a fitness center.
The Ryman Auditorium first opened its doors in 1892 and became the home of the Grand Ole Opry show in 1943. In 1974 the Opry moved to its current home in Opryland, leaving the Ryman Auditorium vacant, but in 1994 the Ryman was restored as the winter home of the Grand Ole Opry. Musicians such as Roy Acuff, James Brown, Patsy Cline, and Sheryl Crow performed here, making the auditorium a showcase for some of the best country, bluegrass, and zydeco acts.
In addition to evening performances, the Ryman also conducts daytime tours.
