NASHVILLE SMYRNA SLEEP INN & SUITES RECEIVES GOLD HOSPITALITY AWARD, 2006

The Nashville Smyrna Sleep Inn & Suites, located at 2689 Highwood Boulevard in Smyrna, Tennessee, has received the Gold Hospitality Award from Choice Hotels International, franchisor of the Sleep Inn hotel brand.

The Gold Hospitality Award is presented annually to hotels that exceed Choice’s rigid quality assurance standards.

“This prestigious award recognizes exceptional service, facilities, and hospitality,” said Brenda Raley, senior director for the Sleep Inn brand.

To qualify, a hotel must undergo a series of rigorous inspections that evaluate each operating department.  Departments are rated according to criteria including staff knowledge, attitude, and professionalism; training, safety, and security; maintenance and energy conservation; and physical conditions.

“This is our second Choice Gold Award Winner,” commented Mark Hamister, CEO of the managing company, Hamister Hospitality Group, LLC.  “Our goal is to achieve this outstanding performance award for all of our Choice hotels during the next few years.”

The Nashville Smyrna Sleep Inn & Suites features 78 guest rooms with in-room amenities such as free high-speed Internet access, refrigerators, microwaves, cable television, voice mail, and oversized work areas.

Hotel features include an indoor pool, a fitness center, a meeting room, a laundry room, and guest-use copy and fax machines.  As part of the Smyrna Sleep Inn’s effort to help guests stay in contact with their families, the hotel will install a complimentary video conferencing system this week.  Hotel staff will purchase and send corresponding equipment to guests’ homes if they do not already have it.

Room rates begin at $86.99 (standard rooms) and $96.99 (Suites) and include a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast and complimentary USA TODAY newspaper.

Discounts are available when booked in advance on a space-available basis for seniors, American Automobile Association members, business travelers, government and military personnel, and groups. Children, ages 18 and under, stay free when accompanied by an adult.

The Sleep Inn participates in Choice Hotels' Choice Privileges rewards program where guests can earn points toward free stays, airline miles or gifts when staying at U.S. Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion and MainStay Suites hotels.

Guests can receive airline miles from participating airlines when staying at any Choice brand hotel.
